Whiteboard for LeetCode Privacy Policy

Whiteboard for LeetCode ("we", "us", or "our") provides this Privacy Policy to explain what information our browser extension ("Extension") handles, how it is used, and where it is kept. This policy applies only to the Extension. It does not cover LeetCode's own website or services, which have their own privacy policy.

What the Extension Handles

The Extension adds a drawing whiteboard to LeetCode problem pages so you can sketch out ideas while you solve a problem. To do that, it handles the following information:

• Web History: The Extension reads the address of the LeetCode page you are on, only to work out which problem is open, so it can load that problem's board. For each problem you draw on, it keeps the problem's name and the time you last edited its board, which is the list of saved boards shown in the toolbar popup. Problems you visit without drawing are not recorded, and the Extension does not run on any website other than leetcode.com and leetcode.cn.
• Website Content: The drawings you create on each board: strokes, shapes, text labels, and any images you paste onto a board (for example, a screenshot of a problem's diagram).
• Preferences: Your whiteboard settings, such as the selected tool, colour, stroke width, background, light or dark theme, and the position and size of the whiteboard window.

The Extension does not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or location. It does not read your LeetCode account details, your code, your submissions, or your solution history.

How Your Information Is Used

• Extension Functionality: The information above is used only to provide the whiteboard: to show the right board for the problem you have open, to keep your drawings when you return to a problem, to list your saved boards in the toolbar popup, and to remember your settings.

The information is never used for any other purpose. It is not used for advertising, analytics, or tracking, and it is never sold or shared with anyone.

Storing and Deleting Your Data

• Storage: All information is stored locally on your device, inside your browser, using Chrome's extension storage. The Extension has no servers and makes no network requests, so your information never leaves your device and we never receive any of it.
• Deletion: You can delete an individual saved board, or all of them at once, from the Extension's toolbar popup, or clear a board from inside the whiteboard. Uninstalling the Extension removes all of its stored information.

Your Consent

The first time you open the whiteboard, the Extension shows a short notice explaining what it saves and where. Nothing is saved until you accept that notice. By accepting it and using the Extension, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

Your Data Protection Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, and restrict the processing of your data, to object to its processing, and to data portability. Because the Extension keeps all information on your own device and we hold none of it, you can exercise these rights directly: your boards are always visible to you, can be edited or deleted at any time, and can be exported as PNG images. Updates to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted at this same address with a new "Last Modified" date, and take effect once they are posted. If the Extension's data practices change, the Extension will also tell you about the change before it applies.
